Day 14: Your favorite LGBT song or artist

BANDS

  • Black Kids
  • Tegan and Sara
  • Adam Lambert
  • Rufus Wainwright
  • Jennifer Knapp
  • La Roux*

SONGS

  • “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On” (Robert Palmer)
  • “A Kiss is Not a Contract” (Flight of the Conchords)
  • “I Would Do Anything For Love” (Meatloaf)
  • “Affirmation” (Savage Garden)
  • And obviously “Song Against Sex” (Neutral Milk Hotel)

*I can’t endorse La Roux as role models due to Elly Jackson’s offensive statements about women, but I leave them on this list because I like how she’s very open about basically being pan, although I don’t think she’s called herself that; they’ve got some positive lyrics; and, quite frankly, I fancy her androgynous appearance.
